We are currently hiring a Senior Scientist for Solid Products, Technical Services & Manufacturing Sciences (m/w/d) to join our Technical Services & Manufacturing Sciences team in Kiel.

As a Senior Scientist, you will provide senior-level technical and scientific oversight for formulation and manufacturing operations of solid dosage products at our Kiel site. Acting as a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide scientific and technical leadership for complex manufacturing, process development, and lifecycle management topics, ensuring the solid dosage portfolio meets global quality and manufacturing standards.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for solid dosage technologies, including powder handling, blending, granulation, compression/tableting, and coating, providing expert guidance for site-specific projects.
• Independently lead or provide senior technical leadership for complex investigations, troubleshooting, and process-related issues, applying scientific principles and structured problem-solving to develop robust and improved solutions.
• Drive the development and execution of robust manufacturing technical transfer strategies, ensuring timely completion with robust manufacturing control strategies implemented at the new site.
• Serve as a key site interface to R&D and CMC/Regulatory, supporting new product commercialization and dossier alignment with site practices.
• Act as the responsible Technical Services & Manufacturing Sciences (TS/MS) representative in audits, providing appropriate technical expertise and support during audit preparation, execution, and follow-up.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Completed Master's degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmaceutical technology, or a comparable field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical environment, preferably in manufacturing of solid forms.
• Experience in creating precise reports, presentations, and documentation from complex scientific concepts for various audiences.
• Proven organization and time management skills.
• Very good command of written and spoken German and English.

• PhD in natural sciences, engineering, or pharmaceutical technology.
• JMP® statistical analysis of data experience.
• Demonstrated ability for innovative problem-solving and good decision-making.
• Experience utilizing statistical modeling/Design of Experiments (DOEs) and risk-based approaches (e.g., FMEA).
• Result-oriented, efficient, and accountable way of working with the ability to respond to changing priorities.
