Description

Manages billing operations for the Department of Finance for the City of Hallandale Beach in compliance with City policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable regulatory laws, standards, and requirements. Functional areas of responsibility include utility billing, customer service and cashiering. Position is primarily focused on managing other people. Position requires extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas that can be used to develop efficient and innovative ways to accomplish the City’s business strategies.

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field. Three (3) or more years’ progressively responsible experience in public utilities billing and customer functions, including at least two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
