As our next Millwright/Mechanic, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and commissioning industrial machinery and equipment. Your expertise in industrial mechanical maintenance, equipment reliability, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision mechanical work will be crucial in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on pumps, valves, electric, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, motors, gearboxes, mechanical drives, speed reducers, conveyors, presses, and related equipment
- Analyze complex equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions
- Install, dismantle, align, inspect, test, and commission stationary industrial machinery and equipment
- Interpret operating and maintenance manuals, schematics, drawings, prints, and layouts, recommending revisions or improvements when appropriate
- Perform precision mechanical work, including alignment, rigging, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, and equipment modifications
- Respond to emergency equipment failures, identify required resources, and complete repairs or coordinate support with external contractors
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance and repair work, ensuring completed work meets company standards and industry best practices
- Support capital projects, special projects, equipment installations, startups, and commissioning activities
- Use CMMS/EAM systems to document completed work, update work orders, procure parts, and maintain accurate equipment history
- Assist with the training, mentoring, and development of apprentices and junior millwrights
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, quality requirements, environmental regulations, and company procedures
- Support compliance with applicable management systems, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright, Red Seal, or provincial equivalent preferred
- Completion of a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship preferred
- Candidates without a Millwright certification may be considered with at least five years of relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- One to five years of industrial maintenance experience
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear drives, rotating equipment, and related mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret equipment drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and operating and maintenance manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude with effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of workplace safety requirements under applicable occupational health and safety legislation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Willingness to work scheduled shift rotations, overtime, emergency call-ins, and shutdowns as required
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Red Seal or provincial Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification
- Experience using CMMS or EAM maintenance systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with precision alignment, rigging, welding, pipefitting, and fabrication
- Experience operating cranes, chain hoists, lift trucks, or other material-handling equipment
- Experience supporting capital projects, equipment installations, startups, and commissioning
- Previous experience mentoring apprentices or junior tradespeople
- Experience working within IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001 management systems
