Stock / Stores Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated person to support various aspects of our stores counter, work orders, and inventory. This role reports to the Lead Stores Person and plays an important part in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop and field services teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Man the service counter and handle requests from the team, issuing tools and inventory as required, providing prompt and friendly customer service
• Coordinate and manage work orders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
• Unload inbound and load outbound freight using a forklift.
• Inspect and receive inwards goods, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Manage the transition of inwards goods to appropriate locations.

About You

• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ideally, you will have some technical knowledge of engineering, mechanical equipment and industrial components.
• A willingness to learn and contribute to a busy and fast-paced environment.

Hours of Work

This role operates Monday to Friday, on 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You will need to be available to work between the hours of 6:00am and 5:00pm.
