AK070 - Two Newborn Care Specialists - Leander, TX

Overview

A lovely first-time family in Leander, TX is seeking two experienced and certified Newborn Care Specialists to provide overnight care for their newborn triplets, born September 2, 2026. The family has two boys and one girl and is looking for NCSs who have significant professional experience caring for multiples and are comfortable working collaboratively alongside another NCS.

The schedule will be Monday through Friday for 8 hours per night. Both NCSs will work together each night to provide attentive care for the three babies while helping establish consistent feeding and sleep routines. The family is seeking an initial 8-week commitment with the potential to extend and would ideally like the NCSs to begin as soon as possible.

The babies are currently receiving a combination of pumped breast milk and high-calorie formula to support healthy weight gain. Mom is exclusively pumping approximately every four hours. The family's primary goal is to have knowledgeable and reliable overnight support while establishing a sustainable routine they can confidently continue once the assignment concludes.Accommodations: Each NCS will have a private bedroom and share a bathroom in the client’s mother’s home, located approximately 20 minutes from the client’s residence.Schedule:Monday through Friday8 hours per night; 10:00pm - 6:00am Both NCSs will work simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing overnight care for three newborns
• Manage nighttime bottle feedings, burping, diapering, soothing, and settling
• Work collaboratively with the second NCS to safely and efficiently care for all three babies
• Help establish consistent, developmentally appropriate feeding and sleep routines
• Follow AAP safe sleep guidelines and newborn care best practices
• Clean and sanitize bottles, pump parts, and other baby-related items as needed
• Assist Mom with clean pump supplies and other pumping-related needs overnight
• Maintain detailed logs of feedings, sleep, diaper changes, and other pertinent information
• Monitor the babies and communicate relevant observations or concerns to the parents
• Provide knowledgeable guidance to the parents regarding newborn routines and best practices
• Maintain a calm, organized, and supportive overnight environment

Qualifications

• Newborn Care Specialist certification required
• Professional experience caring for multiples required
• Triplet experience is a strong plus
• Must be comfortable and experienced working collaboratively with another NCS
• Confident caring for multiple newborns simultaneously
• Knowledgeable about newborn feeding, sleep, development, safety, and soothing techniques
• Experience caring for premature and/or low-birth-weight infants is a plus
• Calm, nurturing, organized, reliable, and highly communicative

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional newborn care experience
• Current Newborn Care Specialist certification
• Demonstrated professional experience caring for multiples
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Legal to work in the U.S.
• Available Monday through Friday for 8-hour overnight shifts
• Able to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks, with flexibility to extend preferred
• Available to begin as soon as possible

Salary and Benefits

$45–$55/hour DOE, with potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate with extensive multiples or triplet experience.
