We are looking for:
Senior IT Controller (Digital - Finance & Governance)
The Digital Finance & Governance stream is responsible for driving financial transparency, efficiency, and governance across the group Digital department, as part of Heidelberg Materials.
In this role, you will take ownership of IT financial controlling and actively contribute to data-driven decision-making and financial performance.
You will collaborate closely with the Director Finance & Governance and the Manager IT Asset & Sourcing, acting as a trusted partner to leadership and cross-functional teams.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
• Lead IT financial planning and analysis activities for the group Digital department, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
• Monitor actuals versus budget and perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Drive regular management reporting cycles and provide actionable insights to Digital leadership
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across IT services, infrastructure, and projects
• Establish and maintain financial controls to ensure efficient and compliant use of resources
• Support business case development and ROI analysis for IT and Digital investments
• Ensure alignment of investments with financial policies and long-term Digital strategy
• Manage software and hardware renewals, including validation of supplier invoices
• Contribute to vendor selection processes and contract negotiations together with sourcing teams
• Support procurement of IT consulting services for key Digital initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and Procurement to ensure transparency and alignment
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to Digital leadership and key stakeholders
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial governance frameworks, tools, and processes within Digital
YOUR PROFILE:
• Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Proven experience in IT controlling, digital finance, or financial governance roles
• Solid understanding of IT services, infrastructure, and project cost drivers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling and performance tracking
• Ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable business insights
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across functions and seniority levels
• Experience working with financial and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage periods of high workload effectively
• Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style
