A Day in the Life

         

         

As a Quality Technician at Medtronic in Danvers, MA, you will provide hands-on quality support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, partnering closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure products and processes meet established quality requirements.

In this role, you will help investigate quality issues, evaluate nonconforming materials, support manufacturing teams with inspection-related questions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively on the manufacturing floor, and using data and quality tools to drive improvements.

This is a fully onsite position in Danvers, MA.

Responsibilities may include:

• Conduct nonconformance investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies, including DMAIC, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and process improvements.
• Review nonconforming materials, ensure appropriate segregation, and partner with Engineering and Quality teams to support material disposition activities.
• Perform quality-related transactions and data entry within SAP, including locking and unlocking material lots.
• Provide hands-on quality support to manufacturing operations by reviewing process abnormalities and answering inspection and quality-related questions from production operators.
• Represent the technician team in continuous improvement initiatives and project meetings, providing manufacturing and quality insight to support ongoing improvements.
• Review production and quality records for compliance with established procedures and documentation requirements, including Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and related records.
• Support Engineering testing, builds, investigations, and other activities associated with continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify issues, evaluate potential solutions, and support timely resolution of quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation in accordance with applicable procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of relevant technical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical training in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing industry.
• Experience supporting nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, or DMAIC/problem-solving activities.
• Familiarity with SAP or another manufacturing/ERP system.
• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and quality system requirements.
• Experience reviewing production records, inspection documentation, or Certificates of Analysis.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$48,800.00 - $73,200.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
