Are you ready to accelerate your potential and make a real difference? At Danaher, you can build an incredible career at a leading science and technology company, where we’re committed to hiring and developing from within. You’ll thrive in a culture of belonging where you and your unique viewpoint matter.
Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.
The Senior DevOps Engineer helps build and operate the delivery and operational backbone of the platform behind our AI initiatives — AI/CD, infrastructure as code, environment management, observability, and production operations. You will work directly with the teams building AI into consequential work across the company: molecular design, autonomous labs, supply chain, professional services, and more. You will apply and extend the technical patterns the platform is built on, and contribute to how delivery infrastructure evolves as workloads become increasingly LLM-driven and agentic.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Data and AI Platform, part of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) office for Danaher Corporate and will be located onsite in Kraków, Poland.
This is a Danaher Corporate role, hosted by our Cytiva operating company in Kraków.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design, build, automate, and operate Azure-based cloud infrastructure and platform services using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi), delivering repeatable, scalable, governed, and auditable environments that support data, engineering, and AI/ML workloads.
Develop and maintain secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and self-service platform capabilities that enable data scientists and engineers to provision compute, data, and machine learning resources efficiently, accelerating delivery while reducing the need for deep infrastructure expertise.
Embed security, compliance, data governance, quality, and operational best practices into platform architecture by design, while building and maintaining observability, monitoring, alerting, and platform support capabilities to ensure resilience and operational excellence.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging technologies, tools, and services to continuously improve platform capabilities, performance, scalability, and alignment with evolving business and technical needs.
Partner closely with platform leadership, platform engineers, and internal customer teams to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions, while contributing to technical standards, documentation, engineer onboarding, and a culture of technical rigor, collaboration, and continuous learning.
The essential requirements of the job include:
3+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including exposure to data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work; CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure), including its core compute, networking, storage, and identity services.
Working experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform / Pulumi), CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc), and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), with proficiency in at least one language (Python, Go, Bash) for automation and tooling.
Solid security and networking fundamentals for provisioning secure cloud resources, and experience operating production systems: monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices.
Ability to own and deliver well-scoped platform components end to end, working independently within established architecture and standards and partnering effectively across teams.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel – up to 10%.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology (e.g., partnering with R&D, quality, clinical, manufacturing, or commercial teams)
Data and engineering practices in industries governed by regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GxP), compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX), and rigorous data governance requirements.
Working in a matrixed environment.
