Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career.
Your Opportunity Starts Here.
Why Join
Join Group Operations & Technology – Trade Finance Operations (Structured Trade Middle Office), where you’ll gain hands-on exposure to how technology and operations support complex trade financing transactions. As an intern, you’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are reliable, user-centric, and ready for deployment—supporting critical processes that enable global trade. This is an opportunity to contribute to transformation initiatives while building practical experience in testing, systems, and operations.
How You Succeed
You succeed by being detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy understanding how systems function, thinking from an end-user perspective, and identifying ways to improve processes. By communicating clearly with stakeholders and staying organised, you’ll support high-quality system implementation and testing outcomes.
What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning & Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with product managers, project managers, and IT stakeholders to understand project scope and testing objectives
- Test Design & Development: Design and develop UAT and regression test scenarios, conditions, and scripts from an operations user perspective
- Test Execution & Analysis: Execute test cases, analyse results, and work with IT partners to ensure timely resolution of defects
- Defect Management & Reporting: Document, track, and escalate issues using tools such as JIRA, and provide regular testing status updates
- System Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform positive and negative testing across trade finance systems (e.g. case management systems, trade processing platforms, SWIFT systems) and support root cause analysis
- Documentation & Training Support: Review functional specification documents (FSDs), and assist in preparing system training materials for end users
- Ad-hoc Support: Support additional project and testing-related tasks as assigned
Who You Work With
You’ll work closely with Structured Trade Middle Office, alongside project managers, IT stakeholders, vendors, and business users. This collaborative environment will provide exposure to cross-functional project delivery and the full QA lifecycle within Trade Finance operations.
