As a Manufacturing Services Engineer you will report to the Vice President - Manufacturing Services, working within a team to ensure the organisation's objectives and goals are delivered.
You will take responsibility for coordinating and implementing the Manufacturing Services strategy in the Defence Manufacturing facility on the Bristol site. You will support the production team throughout the facility on co-ordinating maintenance and inspection activity, providing reliable and compliant equipment to support production plans.
What you will be doing:
- Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to help deliver the Equipment Management strategy for a Manufacturing Facility across a breadth of assets throughout the equipment’s life cycle E.g. Maintenance Planning and delivery, Statutory compliance adherence.
- Work with External Service Providers to set up and deliver robust service level agreements.
- Work with Capability Acquisition teams to understand equipment and machinery requirements. Be part of the down-selection process ensure the equipment will be capable, safe and ready for operations.
- Using data and Proactive techniques to optimize plant equipment performance, and understand asset failures to prevent recurrence
Position qualifications:
- Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ level 3,4 or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering environments and the associated plant & equipment
- Experience of working with external Service Providers including Contractor Management
Preferred requirements:
- Understanding of CMMS , computer maintenance management systems.
- Understanding and experience of Reliability engineering principles.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business, an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
