Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Export & Supply Project Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Shipping Management Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to Manage 60+ North American suppliers to ensure high quality & on-time shipping to Toyota manufacturing plants around the world.
Reporting to the Export & Supply Projects Manager, the person in this role will support the Export & Supply Project department's objective to ensure high quality & on-time shipments to export customers.
What you’ll be doing
Support the Export Shipping Management department's objective to ensure the shipping of domestic parts to overseas Toyota plants are completed on time.
Monitor supplier on-time compliance, reschedule miss shipments and actively support supplier in recovery plans.
Process and monitor air and trial orders to ensure on-time delivery to overseas Toyota plants.
Engage with supplier(s)/cross docks to solve supply chain issues related to missed shipments, quality and shipping compliance.
Communicate directly with overseas customers regarding supply chain disruptions and actions being taken to resolve disruptions.
Meet regularly with cross docks and Logistics Operations to monitor freight flow in and out of the dock and support both groups where freight is not moving.
Train North American suppliers on export unique processes and support supplier readiness leading up to SOP.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Business Management) or 3 years of applicable work experience
3 years of experience in supply chain management
3 years of experience in fast-paced environment working with multiple stakeholders in problem solving and coordinating within supply chain operations
Strong problem solving, quality, process development and kaizen thinking
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge and understanding to analyze data quickly and efficiently
Added bonus if you have
Toyota supply chain management or logistics experience
Proven demonstration of problem-solving principles such as TBP or 5 why analysis
S/4 Hana (SAP) experience
