Position Summary
Clinical Research Imaging Specialist is responsible for supporting and coordinating imaging activities for clinical research studies under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager. This role reviews clinical trial protocols and imaging manuals to ensure imaging requirements are technically feasible and can be successfully implemented across imaging modalities. The specialist serves as a subject matter expert and imaging resource for internal staff, supporting protocol development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and imaging data integrity throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials.
The ideal candidate combines advanced medical imaging expertise with clinical research knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and exceptional organizational skills. This position works collaboratively with research teams, sponsors, and imaging personnel to ensure study deliverables are completed accurately, compliantly, and within established timelines while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute project deliverables for imaging studies in clinical trials in accordance with project scope of work and within sponsor-specified timelines
- Build imaging protocols and perform scans across modalities as needed
- Train other technologists on new imaging protocols
- Assist in preparation and adherence to imaging trial documents i.e. Imaging Manual, Data Transmittal Forms, etc.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Assist with imaging queries and quality checks to ensure data integrity
- Apply advanced critical thinking and analytical skills to anticipate issues, assess risks, evaluate options, and implement robust solutions
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Education and Experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or health-related field or Registered Technologist (R.T.) with advanced modality experience in CT, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine
- Demonstrates strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project-related systems, using tools effectively for analysis, tracking, reporting, and communication
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical imaging
Education and Experience (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the clinical trials industry
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Quality Assurance/Compliance in a clinical trial setting
- Knowledge of imaging trial documents is strongly preferred; i.e., Image Review Charter, Imaging Manual, Data Transmittal Forms, etc.
- Prior Project Management duties, i.e., driving timelines, deliverables, and managing concurrent priorities

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to travel between various site locations, as needed
- CITI training certification in human subject’s research (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
