At Avon, we're looking for a skilled and proactive Accounting & Tax Supervisor to join our EMEA Centre of Excellence team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and continuous process improvement across our Commercial Markets.As Accounting & Tax Supervisor, you'll ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory and corporate requirements. You'll oversee month-end closing activities, support the preparation and filing of financial statements and statutory returns, and help maintain a strong control environment. Working closely with Finance Directors, General Managers, auditors, tax specialists, and shared service teams, you'll provide expert accounting guidance, support audit activities, and help drive confidence in financial results. You'll also stay up to date with regulatory changes, contribute to process improvements, and support the ongoing development of best-in-class accounting practices
Key responsibilities:
Reviewing monthly financial reporting and ensuring accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
Managing statutory financial statements, local regulatory filings, and audit activities.
Overseeing IFRS to statutory adjustments and related control processes.
Supporting quarterly certification activities, financial analysis, and statutory forecasting.
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and strengthening financial controls and compliance.
Partnering with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and auditors to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, simplify processes, and enhance reporting quality.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a multinational organization.
A degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, plus a professional accounting qualification.
Strong knowledge of IFRS.
Experience working with accounting systems and financial reporting processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Confidence working in a multicultural, collaborative environment.
A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Leadership capabilities and the ability to build positive relationships across teams and functions.
