LPL Financial Research is a team that provides market insights, asset allocation, and model portfolios to our independent advisors. Our mission is to be a trusted partner to our advisors who provide investors with choices to help meet their financial goals. In this endeavor, our sole motivation is to provide stellar investment management advice — as a partner for those advisors who manage client assets themselves or as a portfolio manager for those advisors who want to leverage our experience.

LPL is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead one of its OCIO teams. The team is dedicated to helping build and maintain a robust investment process and investment operating mechanism within an advisor’s practice.  Services delivered will focus on investment governance, investment policy, portfolio construction, and aligning investment process/outcomes with the sales and service functionality of the advisor practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advisors with consultative, objective advice, along with highly customized investment solutions, to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Lead portfolio design and asset allocation frameworks.
  • Ensure portfolios align with IPS constraints and risk objectives.
  • Oversee junior portfolio managers and investment analysts.
  • Support client reviews in coordination with advisors.
  • Support the LPL Sales Enablement process meeting with prospective clients.
  • Draw upon previous experience in a OCIO consulting role and drive advisor adoption for the firm’s services.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years providing investment consulting services
  • Bachelor's degree

Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrated interest in investments
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and initiative
  • Demonstrated command of written communication and strong business writing skills
  • Ability and willingness to engage in conversation with internal and external parties
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team under tight deadlines

Preferences:

  • CFA designation preferred
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 within one year of employment or CFA designation.


 

Pay Range:

$150,792.00 - $251,320.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
