Job Description

Position: Scaler

• Rotate among multiple workstations and perform assigned production duties.
• Transfer raw product from the cooler to the meat dumper using a walk-behind pallet jack or similar equipment.
• Operate dumper controls and computer systems to transfer product into hoppers.
• Accurately weigh ingredients according to product specifications.
• Transfer pre-weighed ingredients into ingredient hoppers for processing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production operations.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Basic math skills required for weighing and measuring ingredients accurately.
• Ability to use simple measuring instruments and follow product specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good physical condition with the ability to perform constant reaching, pushing, and pulling motions.
• Willingness and ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

 

Rehire Criteria

•      Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
•  Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
