Yard Specialist : $18-$21 per hour

Benefits:

Vacation Time: 40 hours of vacation for new hire per year

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Yard Specialist
REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
SUPERVISES:
POSITION TYPE: Hourly Non-Exempt

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The position of Yard Specialist is vital to the Company's mission and as such requires a high level of commitment and attention to detail. The position assists upper-level management and the yard manager with operations of the yard to ensure productive workflow within the division.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Onboard all new material deliver or pick up.
• Enter material into inventory.
• Assign material location.
• Load installation teams.
• Take installers’ signatures, sign out as well.
• Drive as needed.
• Schedule yard workers.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working in a yard or warehouse.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and warehouse technology.
• Ability to visually inspect inventory and read printed and electronic documents.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed in both office and warehouse settings.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and warehouse traffic.
• Occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs.
