Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, assist visitors, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access to technology, media, and telecommunications facilities by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and reporting access discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
