What awaits you at Mynaric

• Development of extreme bandwidth systems for optical communications, including laser diodes, electronic/optical amplifiers (boost, pre), modulators, receiver elements with electronics 
• Development of higher order modulation schemes to increase data rate and receiver sensitivity Theoretic analysis and simulation of optical communication trains (e.g. VPIphotonics or Matlab) Testing of next generation communication systems and characterization of commercial components 
• Supporting test, validation and verification of optical communication terminal subsystems
• Development support for the current generation of laser terminals 
• Support of the sales team in proposal generation and the procurement team in RFI/RFPs

What you bring with you

• A University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Passion to work at the cutting edge of technology.
• Detailed knowledge and experience in optics or photonics:
  • theoretical and experimental experience in free space and/or fibre optics.
  • experience with integrated photonic systems is beneficial.
  • enthusiasm for testing and evolving prototypes in the lab with a hands-on mentality.
  • ZEMAX modelling experience is beneficial.
• You are an absolute team player with excellent communication skills.
• You are a results-oriented, reliable and pro-active person, that works responsibly and independently.
• You enjoy developing creative solutions to complex technological problems.
