Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 27 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Housekeeping Manager to join our Housekeeping Team in a permanent capacity.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, this role is responsible for leading the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and guest satisfaction throughout the resort. Working closely with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other operational departments, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while developing and leading a high-performing team.

What You Will Do

• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the Housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, accountability, and employee engagement.
• Oversee departmental scheduling, manpower planning, attendance, vacation planning, and productivity management.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings, daily briefings, and training sessions to maintain effective communication and operational consistency.
• Identify development opportunities for employees and support succession planning and career growth initiatives.
• Review and address guest concerns promptly, ensuring swift resolution and recovery while exceeding guest expectations whenever possible.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and outsourced service providers operating within the department.
• Conduct regular room inspections, public area inspections, and hygiene audits to ensure compliance with Four Seasons standards.
• Analyse guest satisfaction results, quality assurance reports, LQA audits, and other operational measurements, implementing action plans as needed.

What You Bring

• Previous experience in a Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, or similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, quality assurance standards, and guest service excellence.
• Experience leading teams and driving employee engagement and development.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage operational budgets, labor costs, and inventories effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional standards.
• Ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• European Passport or legal right to work in Greece.

Schedule & Contract

• Permanent position – 5 working days per week, 2 days off.
• Schedule may vary according to operational needs.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and according to business demands is required.
