Team/Role Overview

Citi’s Prime Finance franchise is a tier-one global market leader providing hedge funds, institutional asset managers, family offices, and wealth clients with comprehensive prime brokerage, synthetic financing, securities lending, custody, clearing, and risk analytics solutions.

The Prime Finance Strategy & Structuring team is responsible for identifying and executing initiatives which target commercial growth, franchise development, business incubation, and long-term organizational transformation. The team partners directly with senior leadership across Sales, Trading, Product Management, Risk Management, Technology, Operations, and partner business lines across the broader Institutional and Wealth franchises to design, structure, and execute growth initiatives.

Purpose

We are seeking a Vice President to join our London-based Strategy & Structuring team. In this role, you will be responsible for originating, framing, and leading end-to-end strategic initiatives and growth projects across Prime Finance.

You will act as a strategic advisor and delivery partner to the business leadership, identifying growth opportunities, designing client and product strategies, structuring cross-franchise joint ventures, optimizing commercial economics, and establishing scalable risk and operating frameworks to support long-term franchise expansion.

What you'll do

• Lead the formulation and implementation of strategic growth roadmaps across Prime Finance product pillars and the broader Equities franchise.
• Conduct market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and client segmentation analyses to identify new markets and emerging client profiles.
• Partner with complementary business lines across Citi (e.g., Wealth, Corporate Banking, and Markets) to structure joint financing propositions.
• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary workstreams across to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Work with partners (e.g. Risk, Technology and Operations) to overcome barriers to scaling our business to support higher volume and complex client structures safely and efficiently.
• Support senior management with strategic planning, revenue forecasting and pipeline execution tracking.

What we need from you

• Demonstrated years of relevant strategic experience gained within In-house Strategy, Corporate Development or Business Management within an Investment Bank or Prime Brokerage.
• Working knowledge of the Equities and Prime Finance landscape, including financing mechanics (securities lending, synthetic financing/swaps, repo), margin methodologies, balance sheet usage, and client economics (hedge fund structures, institutional asset managers).
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Professional designations (CFA, CAIA) are an advantage.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills; ability to develop concise executive narratives.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
