New Business Development Manager

Hyde Park (Hybrid)

Let's be direct. Most sales roles promise a warm pipeline but hand you a list of dead ends. 

This is a pure hunting role where you build your pipeline from scratch. 

If you tend to lose motivation after a few tough cold calls, this is not the right fit for you. 

But if you want a commission structure that actually rewards your long-term effort, keep reading.

  • Compounding Commission: You get a 15% cut of the monthly spend for 12 months of any deal you close. Because commission is uncapped, your monthly income builds on top of itself as you land more clients.
  • Solid Earning Potential: On top of a R25K monthly basic salary, simply hitting your baseline targets brings in an average of R350K per annum in commission alone.
  • Real Support: You are not left entirely on your own. The Commercial Director will actively help you present and close deals early on until you are ready to run solo. Plus, dedicated delivery and customer service teams handle the operational execution so you can protect your client relationships.
  • Work Flexibility: You get autonomy with accountability, working from the Hyde Park office 3 days a week and remotely for the other 2 days.

The Reality of the Role

You will own the full B2B sales cycle for a direct marketing agency and software provider. This means you will spend your time proactively prospecting, cold calling, booking meetings, presenting solutions to senior decision-makers, and managing the ongoing client relationship.

To succeed here, you need at least three years of B2B sales experience, with at least two of those years spent in a dedicated hunting or new business role. Experience selling SaaS or digital marketing solutions means you can hit the ground running.
