The OpportunitySkills Union is an integrated workforce solutions company headquartered in Singapore. We work with universities, government agencies and enterprise employers across Southeast Asia and the Middle East through three lines of business: training, technology, and talent solutions. The first two are established and generating significant revenue, with anchor partners including NTU Singapore and national skills programmes in Singapore and the Gulf. We are now building the third, and we are hiring the person who will build it.This is a founding role. You will launch and lead our recruitment and placement business from zero, with full ownership of its P&L as it grows. If you have ever looked at your billings and wondered why you are building someone else's agency, or modelled starting your own and stopped at the cold reality of no brand, no candidates, and a year without income, this role is designed for you. Building on Existing CapabilitiesMost new recruitment businesses spend their first two years solving supply, demand, and credibility. You will inherit all three.Candidate supply nobody else has. Our training programmes produce a continuous pipeline of skills-verified professionals in AI, data, and digital roles, including graduates of our NTU-delivered programmes and career-conversion cohorts. These are candidates with verified, demonstrated capability, not keyword-matched CVs.Warm employer demand. Our employer ecosystem spans enterprise training clients, SMB programme participants, and a growing industry network of hiring managers we convene regularly. These are relationships waiting to be commercialised.A matching platform behind you. Our dedicated development team is building a two-sided talent platform, which you will use as your engine and shape its roadmap as its most important user.Institutional credibility. An ISO-certified company with university anchors, government programme track record, and an established brand. Your first client call starts warm.What You Will DoYear one is a building and billing year. You will personally win clients and close placements before you hire anyone.Launch the contingent recruitment desk, focused on placing experienced professionals into technology, data, and digital roles with Singapore employers. This is the lead revenue engine; fractional staffing and programme-graduate placement follow as the desk matures.Personally own the full 360 cycle: client acquisition, role qualification, sourcing, closing, and account growth.Convert Skills Union's existing employer relationships and community network into recruitment clients, and build new ones.Design the division's commercial foundations: fee structures, terms of business, candidate experience, and the operating rhythm the team will eventually run on.Work with our product team as the internal voice of the recruitment business, feeding placement data, employer intelligence, and workflow needs into the CareersMatch roadmap.Build the hiring plan for the division and recruit your first consultants once the desk proves out. Who You AreA proven biller. You have personally generated S$500k or more in annual fees on a 360 desk, ideally in technology, data, or digital recruitment in Singapore, and you can walk us through the deals.A builder, not an inheritor. You have opened a desk, launched a practice area, or seriously prepared to start your own agency. You know what it takes to create revenue where none existed.Networked. You bring live relationships with Singapore hiring managers and candidates that shorten your ramp.Commercially independent. You can operate without the scaffolding of a large agency: no research team, no brand machine, no handed-down accounts.Certified or certifiable. You hold CEI certification or can obtain it quickly; familiarity with MOM Employment Agency licensing requirements is a plus.Motivated by accountability and a sense of ownership. You want your earnings and your remit to track what you build, and you are comfortable being measured on revenue.CompensationCompetitive base with uncapped commission on billings, and meaningful upside as the division grows. We will shape the structure with the right candidate.
