Body Shop Paint Technician Assistant
The Paint Technician Assistant supports Paint Technicians by preparing vehicles and workstations, assisting with the painting process, and ensuring vehicles are finished to high quality standards. This is a good entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in collision repair and automotive refinishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare workstations, materials, and parts for Paint Technicians.
- Prep, mask, and tape vehicles before painting.
- Wash vehicles before and after paint application.
- Color-sand, polish, and buff vehicles before delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Use paint materials efficiently and safely.
- Follow manufacturer, insurance, and company repair standards.
- Inspect completed work for quality.
- Return tools to their proper locations.
- Communicate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Report safety concerns and assist with other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency.
- Good communication skills.
- Automotive body shop experience is helpful but not required.
Compensation
- Hourly rate $16.00-$26.00, depending on:
