This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of SAP platforms while driving vendor management, ITIL-based service excellence, and strategic transformation initiatives in a Global Capability Center (GCC) environment
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead global SAP Basis operations and ensure 24x7 service availability across multiple regions and business functions.
Govern and maintain SAP landscapes including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager environments.
Oversee infrastructure supporting SAP environments, including servers, storage, databases, networks, and virtualization platforms
Manage SAP cloud platforms including SAP RISE, SAP BTP, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and hybrid environments.
Drive proactive monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and automation initiatives to improve service reliability.
Manage global transport and change processes, ensuring compliance with CAB governance and regulatory requirements.
Oversee SAP system lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and transformation programs.
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to manage HANA databases, disaster recovery, high availability, and hybrid hosting strategies.
Lead vendor and supplier governance, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, contractual obligations, and continuous performance improvements.
Ensure compliance with GxP, GMP, CSV, audit, risk, and control requirements while driving standardization across global operations.
KPI: Achievement of SAP service availability, SLA compliance, incident reduction, and customer satisfaction targets.
What you'll bring to the role:
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years of SAP Basis administration and technical operations experience in complex enterprise environments.
Proven experience managing global SAP landscapes including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager.
Strong knowledge of transport management, SAP upgrades, migrations, Unicode conversions, and environment management.
Experience with SAP HANA, Linux/Windows platforms, Oracle databases, and high availability/disaster recovery concepts.
Demonstrated expertise in ITIL Service Management processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Service Request Management.
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS, including automation and scripting tools.
Proven ability to manage global vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
Essential Skills: Strong service delivery leadership with deep SAP technical expertise, vendor governance capability, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a regulated global environment.
Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Desirable Requirements:
SAP Basis and/or SAP HANA Certification.
ITIL v4 Foundation, Azure, AWS, or other relevant cloud certifications.
