## About the Role

We are looking for an experienced debt capital markets professional to continue the momentum and growth of ATB Cormark’s Capital Markets Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (FICC) platform. The role of Managing Director, Private Credit & Debt Advisory will manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients, deepening ATB Cormark’s relationship and working closely with internal ATB Cormark partners to maximize the impact of our multi coverage model.

This role is onsite reporting to our office in Toronto, ON.

## Accountabilities

• Leading ATB Cormark’s Private Credit & Debt Advisory business by originating mandates from existing ATB Cormark clients and prospects outside the platform.

• A diversified industry/sector understanding, but a focus that aligns with the ATB Cormark mandate, specifically in Energy, Mining, Technology, and Life Sciences.

• Maintaining consistent dialogue and idea generation with North American credit providers (institutional investors and alternative lenders).

• Business development working alongside Investment Banking colleagues.

• Coordinating with the ATB Financial (senior lending) and ATB Capital (subordinated lending) to provide fulsome debt solutions.

• Contribute to the dynamic team environment at ATB in a collaborative fashion. Work with other team members and leaders to deliver an incredible client experience.

• Operate in a manner that is aligned, compliant, and demonstrates awareness of all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards that apply to where ATB does business.

## Skills, Experience & Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in credit markets with established relationships with North American credit providers.

• Demonstrated credit structuring experience, specifically in private placements and leveraged finance.

• Proven ability to coordinate marketing initiatives for existing and prospective clients.

• Extensive history of delivering strong financial results, with a focus on optimizing results to meet team objectives.

• Excels in a team environment and works collaboratively with other team members, internal stakeholders, support, and leaders in a positive way.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and exceptional follow-through.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree, diploma, or CFA designation (or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.

• Must be willing and able to work onsite at our office located in downtown Toronto, ON.

Note: The level of this position will depend on the individual and would vary between Managing Director and Director.
