Job Description
Reward and Governance
- Lead and ensure the APAC Reward Programme align with industry benchmarks, Group and local regulatory requirements, and internal relativity considerations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC total rewards strategy that balances competitive positioning with internal equity and budgetary discipline.
- Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit, promotion adjustments, bonus payouts, and long-term incentives grants, ensuring full auditability
- Analyse the effectiveness, cost, and ROI of existing reward programs (including STI/LTI plans).
- Recommend data-driven enhancements to drive employee engagement, retention and performance.
- Ensure all HR policies, reward practices, and programs comply with relevant employment laws, tax regulations, data privacy requirements, and industry standard across each APAC jurisdiction
- Prepare materials and analytics for senior leadership and Remuneration Committee reviews
- Lead communication and change initiatives related to reward design, policy updates, or new governance requirements
HR Strategy and Business Partnering:
- Support the Head of HR APAC to develop APAC HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
- Collaborate with APAC senior leadership to identify and address HR challenges and opportunities to support business growth and sustainability.
Talent Development and Management
- Develop and execute a strategic APAC L&D roadmap that aligns with the organizational objectives and supports the development of a high-performing workforce.
- Design and implement learning programme, career development initiatives and leadership development framework to cultivate talent at all levels of the organizations.
- Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, conduct skill gap analysis and deliver relevant and impactful learning experiences.
- Drive APAC succession planning to ensure a sustainable talent pipeline.
Culture and Wellbeing
- Develop and implement a wellbeing strategy that address employee physical, mental, career and social wellbeing.
- Collaborate with local management and local HR to ensure that wellbeing initiatives are integrated into the overall employee experience and align with organizational goals.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and equity within the organization.
Requirements
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to regional APAC responsibilities in a multinational banking environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in total rewards, including reward strategy design, annual compensation cycles, and governance.
- Proven track record in HR business partnering with senior leadership and influencing at Executive/Board/Remuneration Committee level.
- Strong experience in talent development, leadership development, and succession planning across multiple markets.
- Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g. financial services) and working with complex regulatory frameworks across APAC is required.
- Demonstrated success leading change management, policy implementation, and cross-border HR initiatives.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field

- Deep technical knowledge of reward, governance, and HR policy across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate clear insights and recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and committees.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business strategy into HR priorities and practical execution plans.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including leading through influence in a matrix and collaborating effectively with local HR teams and business leaders.
- High level of integrity, discretion and judgement in handling sensitive information and complex people matters.
- Strong cultural awareness and experience working across diverse markets and cultures
