Your mission
Staybridge Suites Antwerp is a brand-new 99-room aparthotel located near Antwerp Central Station, the city centre, and the renowned Diamond District. Currently under construction, the hotel is scheduled to open in Q1 2027 as the first Staybridge Suites hotel in Belgium. As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts—a global hospitality company with more than 6,000 hotels across over 100 countries—you'll have the opportunity to shape an exciting new hotel from the very beginning while building your career within one of the world's leading hotel groups.
To support the pre-opening phase, we are looking for a General Manager (f/m/d) who is available to start by September 2026.
As General Manager(f/m/d), you will lead the successful pre-opening and opening of Staybridge Suites Antwerp before taking full responsibility for the hotel's operations. From building your team and implementing operational processes to establishing the hotel within the local market, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience, driving commercial success, and building a high-performing culture from day one.
Your Tasks
- Lead the hotel's pre-opening phase, including recruitment, operational setup, implementation of brand standards, budgeting, opening preparations, and successful hotel launch.
- Lead the overall hotel operation, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and performance goals.
- Inspire, coach, and develop department leaders and hotel colleagues, creating an inclusive and high-performing culture.
- Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, health & safety regulations, and local legal requirements.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to maximize profitability.
- Identify opportunities to grow market share, improve guest loyalty, and strengthen the hotel's reputation.
- Build strong relationships with owners, local businesses, tourism partners, and the surrounding community.

Your profile
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Antwerp leisure and corporate market, with an established local network being a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and revenue performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and service excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on leadership approach.
- Experience working with international hotel brands is highly desirable; IHG experience is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus.
