The Role

System Engineers at Kyndryl are responsible for configuration, maintenance and optimization of core Mainframe z/OS infrastructure that supports mission critical enterprise workloads. They ensure stability, performance, security, and high availability of the environment within various roles including Base Operating Systems Management, Configuration Management, Automation Support, Scheduling Management, Storage Management, Performance & Capacity Management, Output Services, Logical Security, Production Control, DB/DC (Database / Data Communication) support (DB2, CICS, IMS), Omegamon Support, MQ Support and Networking Support. Key skills include knowledge of ISPF, JES2, JCL, REXX, SMP/E, PCOMM, Parallel Sysplex, Disaster Recovery, product upgrades and change/incident management tools. Also important is advanced debugging and root cause ability in order to resolve complex problems.
