Work Schedule:
Monday–Sunday:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
- Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
- Graveyard Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Position Overview:
The Event Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, staff, and property at venues such as stadiums, theaters, convention centers, and special events. Duties include crowd management, access control, bag inspections, screening for prohibited items, and responding to emergencies. This position requires strong observational skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bag inspections and attendee screening using magnetometers and other security equipment.
- Verify tickets, credentials, and VIP access authorization.
- Monitor crowd movement and guest behavior to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Enforce venue policies and professionally de-escalate conflicts or disruptive behavior.
- Respond appropriately to medical incidents, fire alarms, and other emergencies.
- Patrol venue perimeters and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity.
- Complete accurate incident reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and event staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of security experience preferred; event security experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with smartphones, incident-reporting applications, and email.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work assigned day, swing, or graveyard shifts, including overtime when needed.
Requirements:
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including California Live Scan fingerprinting.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to regularly climb stairs.

- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to VCPG uniform standards.
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate written reports.
- Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and sound judgment at all times.
