We are a well-established multidisciplinary clinic looking for a Rehab Technician (PT Tech) to support our Physical Therapy team and help deliver excellent patient care full time in Toms River NJ. We are a well-established multidisciplinary clinic looking for a Rehab Technician (PT Tech) to support our Physical Therapy team and help deliver excellent patient care full time in Toms River NJ. This opportunity is perfect for candidates pursuing Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science who want hands-on experience in a clinical setting or those with experience as a Rehab Technician.
Duties:
- Direct patients in performing therapeutic exercises as prescribed by Physical Therapist(s).
- Run computerized muscle testing and range of motion testing
- Prepare therapy equipment and modalities as needed for sessions.
- Bring patients between the waiting area and therapy spaces.
- Assist patients with mobility challenges by safely transferring them to/from tables and chairs.
- Ensure therapy areas are thoroughly sanitized after each patient use.
- Support floor staff with inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Guide patients through their treatment programs.
- Manage the patient flow through the rehab floor and the rest of the clinic.
- Track patient progress during sessions, coordinating with providers to adjust programs as needed.
- Promptly report patient symptoms or concerns to providers and administrative team.
- 6+ months rehab/PT experience preferred
- Able to lift, transfer, and assist patients
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline a plus
- Gain hands-on clinical experience
- Work with a supportive, team-oriented staff
- Exposure to sports rehab/ young adults, general ortho, and geriatric care
- $17- $22 per hour
