As an Embedded Software Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG), you will participate on an agile development team to design modular and maintainable high-quality software components for advanced precision agriculture products.
Your responsibilities:
- Execute software development with focus on code quality, reusability and expandability.
- Perform requirements engineering and participate in design reviews.
- Conduct basic product design, testing and analysis work for software projects.
Education: Diploma/Master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
What Skills you need:
- Minimum 5+ years of professional work experience in software engineering.
- Experience working with C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience in developing software applications for Linux environments.
- Experience with network protocols and data formats such as MQTT, UDP, TCP/IP, protobuf.
- Experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent communication skills.
- Additional experience such as CAN protocols, IoT ecosystems and cloud platforms like AWS, scripting with Python, Bash, or similar, multi-threaded system design, and test automation or software quality processes would ideally be an asset.
