Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting guests with reservations, reception, billing questions, departure, special requests, dining and activity suggestions and acting as a liaison between guests and internal departments ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Meets, greets and welcomes guests.
- Answers incoming calls in a professional manner, transfer to appropriate person, takes messages if required, or provides assistance as applicable.
- Registers guests upon their arrival to the property, provides information, direction and answers questions as needed.
- Posts charges, transfers, and payments to the proper guest folios.
- Communicates guest’s specific needs to the proper department as needed.
- Communicates to Member Liaison requests from guests to book, change or cancel unit reservations accordingly in the reservations system.
- Communicates to guests about events and festivals taking place in the Vail Valley.
- Provide guests with general activity and location information including but not limited to restaurants, hiking trails, golf courses and ski runs.
- Makes dinner, outside activities reservations prior to guest’s arrival and during their stay and assist with special requests.
- Responsible for the proper storage of guest skis and bikes.
- Responsible for distributing and recording all keys being used by staff.
- Assist with Bell Staff duties as needed.
- Reviews the bill with the guest and checks them out, receiving and reconciling payment.
- Research and resolve outstanding balances.
- Assists with shipping and receiving (UPS, FEDEX) as necessary.
- Completes other tasks/assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and language skills including the ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as standard operating procedure manuals.
- Intermediate mathematical skills with ability to solve practical problems furnished in written and verbal form.
- Exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient experience in Microsoft programs, Internet Explorer and ability to learn other hospitality software quickly
- Current valid driver’s license

Compensation:
The hourly range for this position is $23.00/hour to $25.00/hour.
