Position Overview
The Compliance Specialist, Immigration and Regulatory is a key stakeholder in our efforts to support the Company’s internal immigration strategy and mitigate regulatory risk. This role is responsible for facilitating the Company’s immigration program, serving as the bridge between outside immigration support vendors, leadership, and individuals in compiling, filing and tracking immigration applications. In addition, this role conducts compliance assessments through auditing employment records and administering other regulatory programs.Job Description
- Independently manages the end-to-end immigration visa application and renewal process for the enterprise.
- Serves as the subject matter expert of the immigration process and main point of contact for associates, Human Resources, and business leaders for immigration matters.
- Partners with outside counsel to gather relevant materials, prepare documents, and other filings.
- Serve as internal expert on I-9 compliance, conducting internal I-9 audits, coordinate and deliver training on I-9 completion as required,.
- Monitor the frequently changing I-9 work authorization updates and recommend appropriate responsive actions, support external I-9 audits by managing document response and outside counsel interactions.
- Facilitate compliance training across the enterprise. Maintains training records and participation.
- Monitor and maintain compliance programs inclusive of completing and submitting records for various state and federal agencies, maintaining records and maintaining recordkeeping systems (if applicable), and communicate findings and results to all applicable stakeholders.
- Support the legal function by assisting with providing reportable and requested information to applicable state or federal agencies, support the coordination of agency inspections, testing, and follow-ups, and internal calendars.
- Maintains records and recordkeeping systems with all relevant actions and documentation, as well as maintains applicable registrations and manage the registration process.
- Creates and distributes compliance scorecards to applicable stakeholders.
