Overview
We are seeking an innovative and hands-on AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Generative AI across our Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product teams. This role focuses on leveraging AI-powered development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Replit, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other emerging AI platforms to improve engineering productivity, automate workflows, and accelerate product development.
The ideal candidate is passionate about Generative AI, excels at prompt engineering, understands modern software development practices, and can rapidly build AI-powered solutions that solve real business problems. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and significant overlap with US-based stakeholders.
Responsibilities
· Partner with Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and productivity improvements.
· Design, test, and optimize prompts for coding, debugging, documentation, data analysis, and software development workflows.
· Build AI-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, and workflow automation solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
· Develop integrations with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini.
· Evaluate and benchmark different AI models and tools to determine the best fit for various business and engineering use cases.
· Create reusable prompt libraries, AI workflows, and best practices for engineering teams.
· Automate repetitive software development and data engineering tasks using AI-assisted tools.
· Support developers with code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
· Assist data engineering teams in SQL generation, ETL development, PySpark optimization, and metadata generation using AI.
· Ensure AI solutions adhere to security, privacy, and responsible AI guidelines.
· Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI, AI agents, developer tools, and emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
· Strong proficiency in Python.
· Experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
· Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD concepts.
· Working knowledge of SQL and data processing fundamentals.
Generative AI & Prompt Engineering
· Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as:
o ChatGPT
o Claude
o Gemini
o Replit AI
o Cursor
o GitHub Copilot
· Strong prompt engineering skills, including prompt optimization and context management.
· Experience integrating and consuming LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.).
· Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and AI agents.
· Ability to evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, security, and performance.
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to quickly learn and adapt to rapidly evolving AI technologies.
· Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in an agile environment.
· Willingness to work with overlapping US business hours.
Good-to-Have Skills
· Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
· Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI agent architectures.
· Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, or FAISS.
· Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow, or PySpark.
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
· Experience building internal AI copilots, developer tools, or workflow automation platforms.
· Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
