Description
The City of Glendora is seeking energetic, skilled, and customer service-oriented individuals to join our Recreation and Human Services Department at the La Fetra Center. The Maintenance Aide II is a part-time, at will, and non-benefited position and can work between 25-35 hours per week.

Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Aide II position performs a variety of municipal maintenance activities and performs other duties as required.
Some of the typical duties of the Maintenance Aide II include but are not limited to, the following:
- Safely operate various types of equipment and tools
- Inspection of facilities for potential hazards and unsafe conditions
- Perform cleaning duties and operate janitorial machinery
- Perform various tasks for extended periods of time requiring physical strength, dexterity and endurance including standing, walking, running, crawling,
- bending, lifting and climbing
- Must be able to lift 90 pounds and push/pull 90 pounds and get from location to location during the course of doing business
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Enforce safety regulations and rules
Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or equivalent plus 18 months of recent experience performing similar duties. Ability to get from location to location during the course of doing business; work in inclement weather. Knowledge of common tools and equipment used in construction and maintenance work; basic safety precautions and procedures; skill in the operation of hand and power tools.
Special Requirements:
May be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Applicants must possess and maintain a Class C California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record during the course of employment.
Candidates must be 18 years of age at time of hire.
Selection Process:

Those candidates who are determined to be best qualified based upon the information presented on the application materials will be invited to continue in the selection process which may include a qualifying written or performance evaluation and will include an interview weighted 100%.
