Job Description:
Dunwoody is seeking a Part-Time Data Analytics Student Worker to support our team with building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, performing basic data analysis, and assisting with ad hoc data-related tasks. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience using data to support decision-making in a real-world environment.
The student worker will work closely with staff to translate questions and requirements into clear, accurate, and visually effective dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards
- Import, clean, and transform data using Power Query
- Apply basic DAX calculations (measures, calculated columns)
- Ensure dashboards are accurate, well-organized, and user-friendly
- Respond to feedback and make iterative improvements
- Assist with testing dashboards and verifying data accuracy
- Document data processes, definitions, and workflows to support transparency and continuity.
- Support small, ad hoc data requests from staff
- Help organize datasets, files, and report documentation
- Learn and follow data governance and privacy practices
- Attend meetings to understand reporting needs
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in: Web Programming & Database Development (CWEB) or related computer field
- Experience with or coursework using Power BI
- Comfort working with data in Excel (formulas, tables, basic analysis)
- Basic understanding of data concepts (rows/columns, joins, metrics)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage small tasks independently
