Job Description:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Sales Representative to support our sales team within the inks and coatings segment of the chemicals industry. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and promoting specialty chemical products to manufacturers, distributors, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate is eager to learn technical products and grow within a B2B sales environment.
This will be a remote position in which you will go through a period of technical training in our Hatfield, PA facility, followed by being assigned a territory anywhere in the eastern part of the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within target markets (e.g., packaging, printing, automotive coatings, industrial coatings)
- Conduct outbound prospecting via calls, emails, and industry networking
- Support senior sales representatives in managing key accounts and closing deals
- Present and explain product features, performance benefits, and applications to customers
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate inks, coatings, and additives based on technical requirements
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and sample requests
- Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, and forecasts in CRM systems
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the coatings and inks sector
- Collaborate with technical, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial products (internships acceptable)
- Basic understanding of coatings, inks, pigments, resins, or additives is a plus
- Strong interest in technical sales and industrial applications
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office
