About the Role and Opportunity -
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Operations Coordinator - Transport to join our Air Freight Operations team and support the seamless movement of domestic air freight across Australia.
In this role, you will take ownership of coordinating transport activities between freight stations, carriers and customers, ensuring shipments move efficiently and meet critical delivery timeframes. Working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, manage transport schedules, respond to operational challenges and contribute to service excellence across the network.
This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys solving problems, managing competing priorities and making a direct impact on operational performance. Your ability to build strong relationships, maintain visibility across freight movements and drive positive customer outcomes will be key to your success.
As the Air Freight Operations Coordinator - Transport, you will:
Coordinate the collection, delivery and movement of air freight shipments while ensuring service levels and customer deadlines are achieved.
Schedule and manage transport providers, carriers and subcontractors to support efficient freight operations.
Monitor daily transport activities, proactively resolving delays, disruptions and operational issues.
Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and exceptional service throughout the freight journey.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, freight stations, transport partners and external stakeholders.
Monitor transport costs, maintain accurate operational documentation and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Track performance against KPIs, investigate service failures and support compliance, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You -
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience from a freight forwarding, transport, logistics or supply chain environment and thrive in a fast-moving operational setting. You enjoy problem solving, coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering outstanding service outcomes while maintaining strong attention to detail and compliance standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications –
2+ years’ experience in Global Forwarding, Ocean Freight Operations and Transport, with strong knowledge of international freight and supply chain operations.
Demonstrated understanding of global forwarding markets, carriers, customers and logistics service providers.
Experience coordinating transport operations within a freight forwarding environment, with a focus on service, compliance and operational efficiency.
Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence positive business outcomes.
Proficiency in CargoWise One and freight management systems, supported by a proactive, customer-focused approach.
