WHAT YOU WILL DO
Oversee and manage the Foundation Room and the VIP Music Hall sales team. Generate Foundation Room Membership revenue by acquiring new sales and maintaining a consistent working relationship with current Foundation Room Members for renewal sales. Generate VIP upsells in the Music Hall.
I. Sales
Actively solicit new and renewal business opportunities by conducting effective sales calls, outside sales calls, presentations to current and potential members, and conducting site inspections.
Negotiate and close Foundation Room Memberships and VIP Music Hall sales.
Generate revenue via prospecting new leads, renewing current members and prospecting lapsed memberships.
Optimize all Music Hall inventory for upsell opportunities.
Monitor change in all industries and develop strategies to sell Memberships and VIP upsells.
Achieve monthly / quarterly sales goals and yearly budget goals.
Network with existing Members and VIP clients to develop referrals and maintain a high retention rate.
Oversee all Member and VIP upsell communications and marketing initiatives.
Consistently entertain and work in the Foundation Room and Music Hall to generate new business and maintain a good relationship with the existing Members and VIP clientele.
Assist in coordinating all Member events including quarterly marquee party.
Become involved in outside organizations that can directly affect your sales.
Attend local trade shows; participate in sales blitzes and other off-site sales efforts.
Oversee day to day operations of Sales Manager, Coordinator and Concierge in Foundation Room.
Oversee day to day operations of VIP Host Manager and VIP Hosts in the Music Hall.
Responsible for entire Foundation Room and VIP sales teams in achieving their goals.
Maintain office/vacation schedules for sales and VIP team.
Liaison between VP of Sales, GM and sales team for all communications and company directives.
Attend weekly sales meetings, marketing and Foundation Room operation meetings.
Have a working knowledge of the operational department and their responsibilities in Foundation Room and Music Halle to ensure maximum Member and VIP clientele satisfaction.
II. Sales Strategies and Reports
Effective communication of strategies, priorities and goals through sales meetings, performance appraisals, annual reviews and meetings with VP of Sales and General Manager.
Maintain accurate daily office procedures and reporting.
Assist in communication with all venues regarding potential business / clients.
Ensure all accounting paperwork is accurate, responsible for collecting all Membership and VIP client monies, handle all invoices / receipts.
Oversee all projects given by General Manager and VP of Sales.
Comprehend all reports from Salesforce database.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Demonstrate local Houston relationships and contacts
High School and/or college degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years experience overseeing a team of manager-level employees
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience using Salesforce CRM or comparable customer relationship management systems
Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and revenue management
Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, with an understanding of luxury hospitality and guest service standards
Express a positive attitude and objective viewpoint in all circumstances
Maintain organization skills and focus on assigned tasks/goals
Take creative risks to enhance revenue
Behave professionally to maintain / enhance positive image of House of Blues
Ability to sell a non- tangible product
Show respect by considering the rights and dignity of others rather than self
