Job Summary:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team as an Endoscopy Nurse Supervisor. In this leadership role, you'll support a high-performing team, foster a positive and patient-centered culture, and help ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and exceptional care in our outpatient endoscopy department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced endoscopy or outpatient nurse who is passionate about mentoring others, improving clinical operations, and advancing quality patient outcomes.

Job Description:

Role: Endoscopy Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Location: Alfond Center for Health and Thayer Center for Health

Hours: Part-time (36 hours/week)

What You'll Do:

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for assistance with providing or managing direct patient care in complex or difficult matters.
  • Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet service-level objectives.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in the absence of the Department Manager/Director.

What You'll Bring:

  • Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license, or the ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
  • Previous endoscopy, ambulatory surgery, procedural, or outpatient nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory, charge nurse, or other nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting and developing others.

The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
