Job Description:

Position Purpose:

The Salesforce Solution Specialist, exists to provide technical leadership for the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions that support The Salvation Army in Canada. This role ensures that solution architecture, integrations, security, and system customizations are aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements. By guiding technical direction and influencing development teams, the Specialist helps deliver secure, scalable, and effective technology solutions that enhance efficiency and enable The Salvation Army in Canada to better serve communities across the country.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Influence the architecture and design of Salesforce solutions to ensure scalable, secure, and effective technology outcomes.

  • Guide the development and deployment of technical components, including integrations, security frameworks, and solution customizations.

  • Influence the squad by providing technical direction and promoting best practices across assigned capabilities.

  • Design solutions that align business requirements with long-term organizational and technology objectives.

  • Drive the successful implementation of Salesforce capabilities by supporting technical decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Coordinate agile activities across the squad to ensure consistent, high-quality solution delivery.

  • Ensure that security, integration, and customization requirements are incorporated into solution designs and deployments.

  • Support the development team in resolving complex technical challenges and maintaining platform integrity.

  • Advance organizational technology goals by delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable Salesforce solutions that enhance operational effectiveness for The Salvation Army in Canada.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • A university degree in computer science or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Salesforce Certification required.

  • 5-10 years of experience in Salesforce solutions, including large-scale implementations, solution and technical architecture, cloud technologies, security, data management, and application design and development within complex enterprise environments.

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce best practices, methodologies, and technologies.

  • Strong experience designing, developing, and configuring solutions within Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and Experience Cloud.

  • Advanced technical communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex architectural concepts, strategies, and recommendations to technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, cloud-based technology solutions that support organizational objectives.

  • Comprehensive understanding of data-driven integrations, including APIs, web services, ETL processes, batch jobs, and enterprise integration patterns.

  • Thorough knowledge of Salesforce data models, user interface frameworks, and process automation tools to support effective solution design and delivery.

  • Experience working with modern cloud platforms, Salesforce ISV solutions, and other Salesforce cloud technologies in complex technology environments.

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated, results-oriented approach; experience within the non-profit sector is considered an asset.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $105,518.40 to $131,913.60 with a maximum of $158,288.00.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
