Overview

A private family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain their beautifully appointed 10,000-square-foot residence. The family is looking for a career housekeeper who takes pride in their work, understands the standards of a luxury home, and enjoys creating an organized, welcoming environment while maintaining the utmost professionalism and discretion.

 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in high-end private homes, is highly organized, and requires little direction. This family values long-term relationships with their household staff and is seeking someone who is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.

 

Schedule:

 

Full-Time OR Part-Time

• Approximately 2–3 days per week
• Typical schedule is 8:00am–4:00pm
• Candidates seeking additional hours may have the opportunity to work full-time by splitting time between the family's primary residence and a nearby family member's home, located just a few blocks away

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and maintaining a consistently clean, organized home
• Daily upkeep of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces
• Laundry, ironing, folding, and wardrobe care for a family of four
• Proper care and maintenance of luxury furnishings, including silk rugs, cashmere upholstery, antiques, artwork, and other delicate finishes
• Organizing closets, pantry, storage areas, and household spaces
• Coordinating the cleaning of specialty household items, including sending fine bedding and specialty linens to professional cleaners as needed
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and caring for luxury appliances while working alongside the family's private chef
• Monitoring household supplies and communicating any needs to the family
• Working collaboratively with the family's maintenance contractor when appropriate

Requirements

• Extensive private household housekeeping experience required
• Experience caring for luxury finishes, fine furnishings, artwork, antiques, and delicate textiles
• Exceptional organizational skills with experience maintaining pantries, closets, and storage systems
• Strong laundry and wardrobe care experience
• Fluent English
• Must be comfortable working in a private luxury home and maintaining strict confidentiality

Salary and Benefits

• $60–$65/hour DOE
• Opportunity for full-time hours for an exceptional candidate interested in supporting a second nearby residence
