JOB MISSION:  

The Senior Manager, Retail Technology EMEA is the senior regional technology leader responsible for ensuring the successful adoption, operational performance, and business outcomes of global retail technology capabilities across EMEA. Acting as a trusted partner to EMEA Retail and Direct-to-Consumer leadership, the role translates business priorities into regional technology execution plans while ensuring alignment to global product strategies, standards, and roadmaps.  

The role serves as the primary EMEA representative within Global Retail Technology forums, providing regional business context, operational insights, market requirements, and execution feedback. Working across business and technology functions, the role ensures regional readiness, change adoption, value realization, and operational excellence for retail technology capabilities deployed across EMEA.  

The role leads the EMEA Retail Technology team and is accountable for maximizing the value of global retail technology investments within the region. Experience in overseeing a complex retail technology landscape spanning Point of Sales (POS), store IT infrastructure, connectivity, payment technologies and integration with ERP and other supporting enterprise platforms is essential. 

Success is measured through business adoption, operational performance, stakeholder satisfaction, and delivery of regional business outcomes while maintaining alignment with the global operating model.  

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
 
Regional Last-Mile Execution & Ownership 

  • Lead the last-mile execution of retail technology capabilities across EMEA. 

  • Own regional technology readiness for global retail product releases and major technology changes. 

  • Ensure global technology solutions are successfully implemented and operationalized within regional retail environments. 

  • Establish clear ownership for regional retail technology outcomes and proactively address execution gaps. 

  • Provide senior leadership and escalation where delivery or operational outcomes are at risk. 

Regional Business Partnership 

  • Act as the senior technology partner to EMEA Retail and DTC leadership. Build strong partnerships across Retail Operations, Omnichannel, Consumer Experience, Go to Market, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics. 

  • Translate business challenges into clear technology requirements and execution priorities. 

  • Ensure Technology is engaged early in regional initiatives and provide transparency on dependencies, risks and delivery expectations. 

Global Product & Technology Collaboration 

  • Act as the primary EMEA partner to Global Retail Product and Technology teams. 

  • Represent EMEA business priorities, market requirements, operational realities, and customer needs within global governance forums. 

  • Influence product decisions and prioritization through structured regional feedback and business insights. 

  • Assess regional impacts of global roadmap decisions and coordinate readiness activities. 

  • Champion adoption of global platforms, standards, governance processes, and operating model principles across EMEA. 

Adoption, Change & Value Realization 

  • Own regional adoption and change readiness activities for retail technology capabilities deployed across EMEA. 

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure capabilities are embedded into operational processes and workflows. 

  • Measure and monitor adoption, operational performance, and business outcomes. 

  • Identify barriers to adoption and drive remediation plans. 

  • Ensure lessons learned, business feedback, and regional requirements are incorporated into global product discussions. 

  • Drive realization of intended business value from technology investments. 

Retail Growth & Store Technology Enablement 

  • Lead regional technology execution supporting new stores, store changes, market expansion and evolving retail formats. 

  • Ensure technology requirements and dependencies are identified and planned early.  

  • Promote repeatable and scalable deployment approaches. 

  • Support continuous improvement of the in-store consumer and associate technology experience. 

 

Operational Oversight, Risk & Vendor Performance 

  • Oversee regional relationships with key retail technology vendors and service providers. Ensure vendor and service performance supports agreed business outcomes. 

  • Escalate material performance concerns through appropriate governance 

  • Maintain appropriate budget and financial oversight for the EMEA Retail Technology function. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 

  • Extensive leadership experience in retail or DTC technology and business partnership roles. 

  • Strong understanding of retail operations, omnichannel journeys and retail technology ecosystems, including POS, ERP, CRM, order management, data and integrations. 

  • Experience executing global technology capabilities across multiple markets while balancing regional needs with global direction. 

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills. 

  • Experience in athletic footwear, apparel, consumer goods or complex omnichannel retail is preferred.  

  • Retail growth, new store or market expansion experience. 

  • Experience executing global products across multiple countries or markets in EMEA. 

  • Familiarity with Agile, Product or hybrid delivery models.
