As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely month-end reporting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
Full-Time
M-F
What your day looks like:
- Journal entries and general month-end accounting duties including accruals for multiple related companies
- Detailed bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- Conduct variance analysis and provide cost reports to management to improve business operations
- Examine costs incurred in relation to activities conducted to determine effective use of resources
- Assist VP of Finance with Audit requests including preparing audit schedules
- Maintain debt and depreciation schedules
- Prepare and distribute recurring reports
- Prepare state and federal tax compliance reports (sales tax, fuel tax, L&I, etc.)
- Review payroll (processed by third parties) for accuracy and post to the general ledger
- Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
Requirements
More about you:
- College level accounting studies from a four-year accredited college/university
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- Minimum 2 years general ledger experience. Skilled in general accounting, analysis, account reconciliation and month-end closing & financial reporting
- Minimum of 5 years related accounting experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter would be a plus
