Caregiver

We are looking for competent Caregivers/support workers/healthcare assistants to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It’s an often demanding job but, it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for the high-quality assistance. The ideal candidates will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. No experience required as full training will be given, but applicants must be willing to learn. We have a homecare agency plus offer temporary staffing to local care facilities, so please state your preference of hours when you apply. A full UK drivers license is essential, plus evidence of your right to work in the UK. Responsibilities may include: Help clients take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients with physical therapy exercisesPlan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shopPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their ownBe a pleasant and supportive companionReport any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Requirements Proven experience as a caregiver or a willingness to careKnowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsWillingness to adhere to health and safety standardsRespectful and compassionateGood time management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills
