Do you want to help increase access to high‑cost medicines and improve outcomes for more patients? IQVIA is looking for a Hospital Sales Specialist to support the adoption of biosimilar products in Andalucia. This position within a rapidly growing pan European team offers the opportunity to work closely with key hospital stakeholders and private clinics, and play a meaningful role in shaping access to critical therapies in several specialist therapeutic areas.

As a Hospital Specialist you will play an important role in expanding our partners’ market‑leading biosimilar portfolio throughout Andalucia, whilst establishing our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars market.  Therapy areas targeted include nephrology rare diseases, ophthalmology, oncology and rheumatology.

Working autonomously in your territory, you will build and strengthen partnerships with key hospital stakeholders, including hospital pharmacists, pharmacy managers, and relevant clinicians, to maximize market penetration and product uptake. Your experience in strategic account management, contract negotiations at hospital level, and sales growth will be essential in driving business performance.

Working closely with internal colleagues in market access and medical, you will ensure decision‑makers have access to the insights and information needed to support prescribing and adoption. You will also collect and analyse key market intelligence - such as competitor activity, treatment patterns, and prescribing criteria - to support strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Execution: Manage and drive commercial activities within your territory.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted and collaborative relationships with hospital pharmacists, pharmacy managers, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure decision‑makers receive the information needed to support adoption and prescribing.
  • Market Positioning: Support the positioning of our client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars and biologics market.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and report relevant insights on competitors, treatment practices, and hospital prescribing criteria.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Public Health) or Business Administration, Health Economics, or equivalent.
  • Essential experience working with hospital pharmacists and pharmacy managers.
  • Prior expertise with biosimilars or biologic drugs would be preferred (but not essential); and existing network within ophthalmology or nephrology is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in hospital‑level negotiations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential; English language skills would be useful (but not a pre-requisite).
  • Valid driving licence.
