The successful candidate:

Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, with various weekdays as scheduled.

Position Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Transfusion Services, with accuracy and efficiency. Applies knowledge of testing methodologies and laboratory principles to support clinical decision-making and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Conduct quality control testing and routine instrument maintenance.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure optimal instrument performance.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Train and mentor new employees and students as assigned.
• Cross-train and support specialized laboratory areas, including Flow Cytometry, Microbiology, and Cellular Therapy.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, or
• Medical Technologist certification with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical hospital laboratory experience.
