Neurointerventional & Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)  Resurrection Medical Center | Chicago, Illinois 

Prime Healthcare is seeking an experienced Neurointerventional & Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the growing neuroscience program at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

This advanced practice role will work collaboratively with neurointerventional specialists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and stroke physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex cerebrovascular and neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in neurointerventional surgery, neurosurgery, stroke management, and inpatient neuroscience care and thrive in a fast-paced, highly specialized clinical environment.

Position Highlights

  • Manage patients across the continuum of care, including acute stroke, cerebrovascular disease, and neurosurgical conditions

  • Participate in inpatient consultations, daily rounds, treatment planning, and care coordination

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and other complex neurological conditions
  • Perform inpatient consultations, admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
  • Support neurointerventional procedures and peri-procedural patient management
  • Assist in the evaluation and management of neurosurgical patients before and after surgery
  • Interpret diagnostic studies and collaborate on treatment planning
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate transitions of care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Eligible for unrestricted Illinois licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, neurocritical care, neurointerventional, stroke, or related neuroscience specialty strongly preferred
  • Acute Care NP certification preferred for inpatient candidates
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage high-acuity patients
  • Excellent communication and collaborative care skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
