Salary: $62,500.00 - $90,000.00 Annually, DOE

WyoTech is seeking industry professionals to help train the next generation in our Applied Welding Technology program. Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to and ensure the enforcement of WyoTech policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook; Advise students on attendance, grades, professionalism, and personal problems to ensure completion of their career program
- Submit grades, tests, attendance, and all other material; Plan class instruction based on the syllabus and ensure learning objectives are met. Ensure all educational activity is conducted ethically and legally; Utilize the CANVAS LMS system
- Support EPA and safety procedures; Encourage students to do safe, quality work with safety precautions
- Maintain and attend to the repair as necessary of class equipment and tool inventory. Lock up your area
- Attend scheduled instructor meetings, graduation, and registration; Participate in curriculum and professional development; Communicate effectively with all WyoTech faculty and staff
- Encourage motivation and enthusiasm in the shop and classroom; Develop a professional rapport with the students
- Prepare adequately for class and shop prior to start time; Have supplemental teaching items ready; Provide appropriate information, resources, and assignments for a lesson; Provide peer tutors as needed
- Monitor class; Remain in control of the class throughout the classroom lesson and in the shop
- Follow ADA Requirements
- Be available for students 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after scheduled class time
- Always maintain security on all tests and lesson plans; Always maintain confidentiality
Associated Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely and exercise sound judgment in a shop environment
- Ability to work independently while communicating clearly and effectively with others
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and manage assigned responsibilities
- Basic math skills, including fractions, for accurate measuring, layout, and cutting of metal
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, welding shop equipment, including computerized equipment such as plasma tables and Bug-O pipe-cutting systems
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, including lifting and handling materials and equipment
- Ability to perform detailed measuring, cutting, and fabrication work with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to identify potential workplace hazards and take appropriate preventive or corrective action
Requirements
Minimum Requirement (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent thereof, would be qualifying):
- Minimum of 7 years’ work experience in the Welding and Fabricating industry
- Course and Curriculum development, project development, and project management
- Must be proficient in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
- Must have experience in Custom Fabrication, Reading Blueprints, Cutting Techniques, and CNC usage
- Positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
- Must be able to pick up on software used in an educational environment and be able to efficiently use computers
- AWS, API, CIC, etc. certifications or other industry certifications are a plus
