SEK, CPAs & Advisors is seeking a Summer IT Support Intern to join our Information Technology team in Hagerstown, Maryland, from March 1, 2027, through July 30, 2027, working approximately 25–36 hours per week.
This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting the technology needs of a growing professional services firm. You will work alongside experienced IT professionals to prepare and deploy equipment, coordinate user access, and support new hire technology setup and orientation.
If you are pursuing an associate's or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, this opportunity will help you strengthen your technical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills through meaningful real-world experience.
This internship would take place on-site in our Hagerstown office during the time of March 1st, 2027 – July 30, 2027. You would be expected to work 25-36 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and deploy laptops, monitors, docking stations, and other technology equipment for new employees.
- Coordinate user account creation, software access, and system permissions.
- Configure workstations and ensure technology is ready for new hire start dates.
- Assist with technology orientation and basic user training during onboarding.
- Assist with computer imaging, setup, deployment, and replacement projects.
- Track equipment assignments, returns, and inventory updates.
- Help manage software licensing and technology records.
- Participate in technology improvement initiatives and office technology upgrades.
- Assist with conference room technology setup and support.
- Conduct research and assist with projects that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
